Wheel Measurements If Only Outer Rims Are Needed

For Rear Wheels People Mostly Buy The Rims & Weld Them To The Centers
Two measurements and one style choice are necessary for rims
1. Rim Width – the distance between the bead flanges (inside to inside, not outside to outside)
2. Rim Diameter – the measurement from the bead seat to the bead seat.




Measurements For Complete Wheels
For Front Wheels People Typically Buy The Entire Wheels
More measurements & one bolt hole count are necessary for entire wheels

1. Rim Width – the distance between the bead flanges (inside to inside, not outside to outside)

2. Rim Diameter – the measurement from the bead seat to the bead seat.

3. Back Spacing - Distance from backside of rim disk to inner edge
With Tire Off: Wheel: Place wheel face down with outer disk face upwards
Then measure from outer edge of disk face through pilot hole to ground

4. Wheel Bolt Circle – on 4 lug, 6 lug, or 8 lug wheels measure from center of bolt hole to center of farthest bolt hole; on 5 lug measure from center of bolt hole to back of most distant bolt hole

5. Bolt Hole Count - is it a 4 lug, 5 lug, 6 lug, 7 lug, 8 lug, or 9 lug wheel?

6. Bolt Hole Countrersink Angle - Either None, 60 or 90 dergees).

7. Bolt Hole (Stud Hole) Diameter

8. Stud (Bolt) Diameter

9. Pilot Hole (Center Hole) Diameter

10. Clearance - Shortest Distance from Innner Side Of Tire To Tractor

11. Web - On 7 or 9 Stud Wheels - Measure From Outer Pilot Hole Edge To Inner Bolt Hole Edge
